Here's Brittany's High School Orchestra while they were in California on tour. This is the day they competed. They did really well. 2nd place! We got to go to Disneyland and on a Dolphin and Whale cruise, play at Dixie college and a high school in Vegas. We also went to a Medival Times resturant. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to go with Brittany. Good Times!!!

while we were on Orchestra tour, we stopped in Vegas and played for another High School and then they played for us. The kids got to play in their levis and t-shirts. I got to take pics while they were playing, which was fun because usually you can't take any pics when they are playing in a competition. I saw this girl, Emily who plays the cello and she had converse tennis shoes on. I had to take the shot. I love the oppositness
(made that word up) of the pic. So I named it "converse and cello".

Britt with a friend Allysa, who was not afraid of getting cold and wet. By the end of the night Allysa was really wet and sandy and cold. Britt really braved it out and got in to her knees.

Here are the crazy kids in the ocean. They just had to experience the ocean and they were willing to freeze their bodies for it. I stayed on the sand and got my feet wet. that was cold enough for me.

This is the sunset on the beach the night we got into California for the Orchestra Competition. We had Pizza and a birthday party for one the guys in Orchestra. His mom had pre ordered a cake from Costco. A couple of the parents on tour had driven and followed the buses, so they picked up the food. It was a fun evening. some of the kids had to get in the ocean even if it was really cold. Crazy.

I got a sweet shot of the sea lions when Britt and I went on Orchestra Tour. I should have realized as I posted these pics that it goes from the bottom up. oops. You'll read as you go that I couldnt get any good dolphin or whale pics, but these sea lions were easy to take pics of. they don't move and are above the water. They swim and feed and night and sit on these buoys in the day. What a life.

This is the only good picture of a dolphin that I got on the dolphin and whale watching cruise we went on when we went on Orchestra Tour. It was alot of fun, but I didn't get any good pics of the 3 whales and million dolphins that we saw. I was getting very frustrated at trying to get the dolphins coming out of the water. They are really fast and I kept missing the shots. I finally decided to just enjoy the moment and watch rather than have my one eye in the camera and miss everything.

On September 24, we went to the school to get Bens pictures taken. He screamed for 15 minutes, and so we left. I decided I would take his pictures, so we went in the back yard and he had a big smile. He is just a stinker.

Tyler loses his first tooth

This morning, on September 23rd, Tyler woke up and said his tooth was lose. That night when we were eating dinner, he went to the bathroom and came out with a hole in his mouth. He did it.

Sara has had a lot of fun this year in school. Her teacher Mrs. Patrick likes the kids to do a lot of hands on activities. The first one she had to make a map of Utah. She embroidered Utah's rivers, lakes, mountains. And then her and Craig made the frame around the map. The next project was making an Indian village. She could have picked a tepee, but she chose cliff dwellers. Everyone in the class did a tepee or hogan except Sara. Way to be different.

All done with the rapids!! As you can tell the ride did what we wanted it to do. We were cooled off. Then we went to cliff hanger and the other big rides, so I took the younger kids to go on rides. Katie and Nicole had fun in the cars, and Ben loved the whale ride. He even lifted his arms. By the time it was time to go home, he finally decided to enjoy the rides.

She almost lost them, but luckily she kept her toes pointed towards the sky. We were laughing so hard. After this ride was over, we ran to the Rocket. It was Sara and Brittneys first time on this ride. Do you think they lost their bellies?

Now it is time to do on the scrambler. Craig, Jill, Colette, Ben and Katie had enough spinning for a while, so we just watched. Katie then had to have her dippin dots, and Ben wanted a bite. But unfortunately for Katie, she wasn't feeding him fast enough, so he decided to use his fingers to dig in instead of the spoon. It was yummy Katie. Thanks for sharing

On July 24th we started the day at the parade. The kids had fun watching the parade, and then it was time for the rides. Ben at first hated the merry go round, but the second time he went on it he was acting super silly. After the parade, we went to Ryan Lemon's house, had a BBQ, drank a crazy patriotic drink, went slippin sliding, and played laser tag. It was a fun day.

It will be a few years before he learns the in's and out's (no pun intended) of putting on gear. Sara's team took 2nd at the city tournament and 4th in the State Tournament.

Hanna Montana was really fun to watch. Katelyn Pollard is a friend of Sara's that lives 4 houses down from us. We got home around midnight.

We went to Lagoon this year to celebrate Dalyn's birthday. We had a great time with only a few minors problems. Devyn and Scott went first thing Saturday morning on the new ride 'WICKED'. Scott lost his (veteran) Dallas Cowboys hat at the top of the ride (110 feet). Then Devyn and Scott went on the 'Spider' and then the Colossus The Fire Dragon. Scott must of had a touch of the flu bug or the coco-crispies was not settled down yet after the first two rides because they came up just before the last turns (not a pretty sight). We stayed at the Moad Rim RV Campark at the south end of Moab that had great views of the city. Great place to stay!!! We visited Klondike Bluffs where we experienced mountain biking and incredible scenery. We also visited Arches National Park. Klondike Bluffs Trail is gravel, dirt, sand and slick rock terrain. The trail is 15 miles round trip. We made it up 7 miles. Beautiful scenery and a great work out. Enjoy!!!

We had lots of fun at the party playing with cousins, aunts and uncles, grandma and don't forget the chicken. It's the newest addition to the clayson clan.

Tyler chased the chicken til he got it. That's one fast kid. Go Jazz! Sara and Kenzie liked the chicken but just together.

I noticed in between my (colette's) pictures Scott did some with Derek and Damon and the funeral of the hampster. We are sorry about your hamster Derek. It was too bad how sick she got, but just think of all the fun stuff you got to do with her. What hampster can say they got to play air hockey?! Also I heard that the hampsters got to jump on the trampoline every so often. What a great life for a little furry friend. You boys have a great home for hampsters. I'm impressed how good you take care of them!

I'm new at this and so after spending 1/2 hour at Scott's house and then thinking I new what I was doing, I came home and began to do some more to the blog. It only took 1 click and it was gone. All 2 pictures I had so lovingly posted. I will now do them again and hope for the best. Derek's hamster ' LITLLE GIRLS' passed away this morning. Derek wanted to tell some things about his hamster.

"Little Girls Was the best hamster in the world, she was the fastes runner out of all the hamster's. She was the nicest hamster of all of the hamsters we had. She was born out of a Girl hamster named Fluffy. At first we thought fluffy was a boy. We also had another hamster named Shadow. Then I got another hamster named Fuzzy (he was realy fuzzy sort of like spiky). Then Fluffy had some babby hamsters. I cept the runt she was about 6 weeks old. We have a Air Hocky tabble and we would let her ride on one of the Hockey pucks".
